DTI chief hopeful on RCEP ratification

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is hopeful that the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement will be ratified at the next Congress.

'It is unfortunate that we didn't get the Senate ratification this 18th Congress, but we remain optimistic that it will be ratified early in the next Congress,' DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez told reporters in a Viber message on Thursday.
