INSURANCE Commissioner Dennis Funa recently received both the outgoing and incoming presidents of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. (New India).

Outgoing President and CEO Shankar Prasad Sinha has led the Indian government-owned insurance company in the Philippines for the past six years. Since setting up operations in the Philippines in 1930, New India has been a partner in the development of the local non-life insurance industry. It is one of the country's leading direct foreign insurers and a leading re-insurer for large and medium companies.
