Catanduanes revives Abaca Festival

LEGAZPI CITY: Showcasing the farmers' ingenuity and the rich local culture, the provincial government of Catanduanes revived the Abaca Festival this year after two years of hiatus following the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

Carmel Bonifacio-Garcia, Catanduanes provincial tourism officer, said the staging of the 6th Abaca Festival from May 24 to 31 was a huge success under the theme 'Uswag Abaca: Dagos sa Maogmang Isla (Develop Abaca: Welcome to the Happy Island).'
