'Combustible material' caused fire in vessel off Quezon

THE fire that gutted a vessel and killed seven passengers off Quezon a week ago was caused by a 'highly combustible material', according to a report by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

'Based on our initial findings in the investigation, there was a highly combustible material above the engine room, actually on the deck, where the fire started,' PCG Commandant Admiral Artemio Abu revealed.
