Saturday evening (Sunday in Manila), the Philippines' participation at the 75th Cannes Film Festival was capped with euphoria as two movies in competition with Filipino involvement won big at the culminating awards. Japanese movie "Plan 75," which stars Filipina actress Stefanie Arriane and is produced in part by the Manila-based tandem of Alemberg Ang and Wilfredo Manalang, won the Camera d'Or Special Mention in the Un Certain Regard section.
