BSP sees May inflation reach as high as 5.8%

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said on Tuesday that headline inflation could have reached as high as 5.8 percent in May because of increasing fuel and food prices, as well as weaker local currency.

The central bank's actual 5.0-5.8 percent forecast range for the month is faster than the three-year high 4.9 percent print in April.
