Bachelet eyes broader collaboration with China

GUANGZHOU: United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet on Saturday said the UN human rights body and China have the possibility of discussing at the highest level, which implies that there will be a lot of areas to continue cooperating and collaborating in the future.

Bachelet told a virtual press briefing that both sides agreed to establish regular engagement between the UN Human Rights Office and the government of China, including through an annual senior strategic meeting for discussion of issues of respective interest at national, regional or global levels.
