Comelec summons Manila Mayor-elect Lacuna-Pangan over poll protest

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) has issued an official notice to Manila Mayor-elect Maria Sheillah 'Honey' Lacuna-Pangan informing her about the election protest filed by an opponent in the May 9 polls.

In a summon dated May 25, the Comelec Electoral Contests Adjudication Department ordered Lacuna-Pangan to respond to the petition by lawyer Alex Lopez 'within a non-extendible period of five days' upon receipt of the Comelec notice.
