Mayor-elect downplays accusations

MAYOR Evelio 'Bing' Leonardia cried foul over the conduct of the elections in Bacolod City, but incoming local chief executive Alfredo 'Albee' Benitez shrugged off the allegations.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Leonardia's spokesman, Chris Sorongon, said the incumbent mayor filed a complaint before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) central office in Manila on May 20. It has been docketed as Election Protest Case 008-2022.
