MAYOR Evelio "Bing" Leonardia cried foul over the conduct of the elections in Bacolod City, but incoming local chief executive Alfredo "Albee" Benitez shrugged off the allegations.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Leonardia's spokesman, Chris Sorongon, said the incumbent mayor filed a complaint before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) central office in Manila on May 20. It has been docketed as Election Protest Case 008-2022.
