Cartoonist Larry Alcala, 'Slice of Life' featured on PHLPost stamps

THE Philippine Postal Corporation on Thursday honored National Artist for Visual Arts Larry Alcala by releasing commemorative stamps featuring illustrations from his Slice of Life cartoon series.

In his speech during the launching of the commemorative stamps at the Manila Central Post Office Building in Liwasang Bonifacio, Postmaster General Norman Fulgencio said Alcala's comic strips gave a glimpse of Filipino lives 'in the most witty and meaningful way.'
