Canvass of votes for president, VP hits snag over missing CoC

THE canvassing of votes for president and vice president hit a snag on Tuesday when the Certificate of Canvass (CoC) for the province of Surigao del Sur was missing from its ballot box and was later found to have been mixed up with those for the local candidates.

Lawyer April Joy Balano, provincial election supervisor 3 of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Surigao del Sur, apologized to Congress, which convened as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), for the mix-up.
