NLEX decided to invest for next year's PBA Rookie Draft as the team was able to regain a first round pick after losing one in a previous trade to acquire the services of stretch big Justin Chua.
A trade two days after Draft Day was consummated between the Road Warriors and new PBA team Converge that sent NLEX's seventh overall pick Tyrus Hill for the FiberXers' first round pick next year, allowing Yeng Guiao and his troops a chance to build up next season.
