Catholic schools' group welcomes Duterte appointment as DepEd chief

THE country's largest association of Catholic schools has welcomed reports that Vice President-elect Sarah Duterte-Carpio will be the Education secretary under the next administration.

'If indeed she will be the one to run the department, we hope that she could address the education crisis we are facing,' said Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Executive Director Alan Arellano in a radio interview on Thursday.
