Amit pockets women's 9-ball gold in Vietnam

Rubilen Amit of the Philippines defeated Jessica Chan of Singapore, 7-2, in the women's 9-ball singles final on Tuesday to win the country's first gold medal in billiards at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Philippines is also assured of the gold medal in men's 9-ball singles with 2021 US Open champion Carlo Biado and Johann Chua squaring off in the all-Filipino championship match on Wednesday.
