EastWest optimistic on 2022 income target

DESPITE netting lower earnings in the first three months of the year, East West Banking Corp. still maintained its income projection for the year.

The lender reported in a statement on Tuesday that its earnings guidance remains at P4 billion, or close to its net profit in 2021, despite booking only P507.6 billion in the first quarter of 2022.
