THE Quezon City government used some P100-million "savings" from abandoned or neglected infrastructure projects under the administration of former mayor Herbert "Bistek" Bautista in its Covid-19 response, reelected Mayor Maria Josefina "Joy'" Belmonte said.

She told The Manila Times that she used the funds saved from those projects for its Covid-19 response, particularly in giving cash assistance to "QCitizens" at the height of the pandemic.
