Belmonte wants heads to roll in QC jail riot

Quezon City Mayor Maria Josefina 'Joy' Belmonte on Saturday directed the police to conduct a deeper investigation to determine the liability of jail officers in connection with Friday's riot among warring gangs inside the city jail that left an inmate dead and nine others wounded.

The mayor's order was specifically directed at the leadership of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
