Negros political clans suffer major upset

BACOLOD CITY: The election results in Negros Occidental showed major upsets as newcomers defeated traditional political clans.

In the fifth district of the province, Rep. Marilou Arroyo, sister-in-law of former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, conceded to former vice governor Dino Yulo in the congressional race.
