PARACELIS, Mountain Province: A candidate for the town's mayoral seat who has a pending warrant of arrest emerged victorious in the recently concluded election.
Former mayor Avelino Amangyen was proclaimed by the Municipal Board of Canvassers as the winning candidate for the mayoral post after garnering 9,220 votes. Incumbent mayor Marcos Ayangwa received 5,185 votes and Amor Liban got 1,172 votes.
