ZAMBOANGA CITY: An alleged member of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) transporting explosives and materials for the manufacture of improvised explosives was killed in a firefight with soldiers in Isabela City in the Muslim province of Basilan, police said.
Police said the weekend fighting occurred in the village of Baluno after soldiers engaged a band of militants and eventually killed 34-year-old Adzhar Alih Anding.
