Mindoro governors retain positions

CALAPAN CITY: The incumbent governors in Oriental and Occidental Mindoro received fresh mandates after winning the election on Monday after a grueling election day with power interruptions and malfunctioning vote-counting machines at the last hour.

Oriental Mindoro Gov. Humerlito Dolor garnered 255,696 votes to win over First District Rep. Paulino Salvador Leachon who received 182,201 votes. Dolor ran under the banner of PDP-Laban (Cusi wing) while Leachon ran under his own provincial party Mindoro Bago Sarili.
