Everything is "generally peaceful" in the conduct of national and local elections in Central Visayas. This is according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas. The calm conduct of the elections was marred only by the shooting incident in San Fernando and Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu.
Police Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega, chief of PRO-Central Visayas, said they have not recorded any election-related violent incident as of 11:30 a.m. today. His statement is based on a report from the Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (Remac).
