Extended voting hours pushed

ELECTIONwatchdog Kontra Daya has called on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to extend voting hours beyond 7 p.m., after reports of vote counting machine (VCM) breakdowns and long lines.

'Kontra Daya calls on the Comelec to extend voting hours for Election Day past the stated 7:00 P.M. closing time today, May 9,' a statement on their Twitter handle wrote on Monday.
