ENERGY Secretary Alfonso Cusi, head of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) wing led by President Rodrigo Duterte, sought reconciliation with the rival faction after being declared as the "true and official" members of the ruling party by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

The Comelec's special Second Division voted 2-1 on Friday to grant the petition filed by the Cusi wing in August last year to declare as illegitimate the PDP-Laban faction headed by Sen. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel 3rd, son of former Senate president and party cofounder Aquilino "Nene" Pimentel Jr.
