MANY adjustments needed to happen during the pandemic. Like many families, our family was used to celebrating all birthdays and occasions. It's in God's amazing grace that we were given proper resources to host parties and travel together. Unfortunately, these get togethers were disrupted by Covid-19.

During the pandemic, one of the subtle friendships our family missed seeing was between my mother, Gloria, and mother-in-law, Nini. I am very blessed that my parents-in-law's very accommodating nature accepted my single mother who raised my sister and I. For 30 years, this friendship grew through conversations during family occasions.
