Return of 7-day quarantine for intl travelers nixed

THERE is no need for the country to reintroduce the seven-day mandatory quarantine for international travelers despite the emergence of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases among tourists in the country.

Philippine College of Physicians president Dr. Maria Encarnita Limpin said that the government should reintroduce the measure following the detection of the BA.2.12 subvariant in a Finnish woman and the infection of 15 tourists in Palawan.
