US ambassador to PH confirmed – report

THE United States Senate has confirmed the appointment of Mary Kay Carlson as its ambassador to the Philippines, according to a post on the US legislative information website congress.gov.

The Arkansas native was confirmed via 'voice vote' in the US Senate on Thursday (Friday in Manila), it said.
