THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Friday formally commissioned its first 97-meter multi-role response vessel (MRRV) into the Coast Guard service – the Barko ng Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Teresa Magbanua.
BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) was named in honor of the Filipina schoolteacher and military leader during the 1896 Philippine Revolution against Spain who was dubbed as the "Visayan Joan of Arc".
