INFLATION accelerated to 4.9 percent in April, the highest in over three years, mainly driven by higher food and transport prices.
"The rise in consumer prices was the fastest since the 5.2 percent recorded in December 2018," National Statistician Dennis Mapa said in a briefing on Thursday.
