GOVERNMENT-OWNED Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) said total deposits in the Philippine banking sector increased as the economy began to recover from the effects of the pandemic.
Total deposits hit P16.2 trillion in 2021, up 9.0 percent from P14.9 trillion a year ago, it reported in a statement released on Tuesday.
