THE Department of Finance (DoF) said it is working with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to build a system that will allow digital service providers (DPS) to meet their tax obligations under a proposed value-added tax (VAT) measure.
"Currently, the BIR, through technical assistance from the Asian Development Bank, is developing the online registration and update system (ORUS) that will allow taxpayers, both residents and nonresidents to register with the BIR online," said Euvimil Nina Asuncion, DoF deputy executive director.
