TWO party-list groups seek to represent Filipino seafarers in Congress -- the incumbent Marino Samahan ng mga Seaman Inc. (Marino) and the come-backing Angkla: Ang Partido ng mga Pilipinong Marino Inc. (Angkla).
Although both groups are wooing seafarers' vote, they are not strictly competitors and both can gain congressional seats as long as their respective votes meet the minimum required 2 percent of the total votes cast in the May 9 polls.
