Disqualification case filed vs mayoral bet in Zambales

A PETITION was filed before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) seeking to disqualify Zambales First District Rep. Jeffrey Khonghun from running for mayor in the town of Castillejos in Zambales by virtue of residency.

The petition was filed on March 23, 2022 by the legal counsel of the petitioners Gilbert Viloria and Jose Dominguez at the Law Department of the Commission which has jurisdiction over such cases, based on Section 2 of Rule 25 of the Comelec Rules and Regulations.
