Muslim Filipinos celebrate Eid al-Fitr to mark end of Ramadan

MUSLIM Filipinos are expected to celebrate today, May 2, Eid al-Fitr, the first of two canonical festivals of Islam.

Aleem Said Ahmad Basher, in an interview with The Manila Times, said he had gone moon sighting and he had not seen the crescent moon but he was optimistic of seeing it by Sunday morning.
