THE local bourse plunged to the 6,700 level on Friday on the back of pandemic-related worries and inflation concerns.

The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index plummeted by 2.58 percent, or 178.2 points, to its intraday low of 6,731.25, while the wider All Shares barometer lost 1.97 percent, or 72.34 points, to conclude at 3,605.14.
