The trending drama teleserye "The Broken Marriage Vow" has been keeping Filipinos glued to TV screens night after night since 2022. Based on the British series "Doctor Foster," the show — led by Jodi Sta. Maria (Jill), Zanjoe Marudo (David), Sue Ramirez (Lexy) and Zaijian Jaranilla (Gio) — continues to garner praises not only for the cast's performances but also for the Filipino elements seen in the costume design, set design, and storytelling.
"Kahit mature yung story ng 'The Broken Marriage Vow,' nakakatuwa na halos lahat ng edad ay tinatamaan or nakakarelate sa palabas namin. So gusto ko lang i-congratulate yung mga writers, sila talaga yung nagsulat at nag-isip. Kahit na adaptation siya, talagang sinulat nila na talagang makakarelate yung mga Pilipino dahil iba naman yung kultura natin sa ibang gumawa. Kudos sa kanila," Marudo said in a media conference.
