AIA Philippines secures new license from IC

AIA Philippines Life and General Insurance Co. Inc. received a new license from the Insurance Commission (IC) after merging with Philam Equitable Life Assurance Co. Inc. (Pelac).

Commissioner Dennis Funa recently issued a new certificate of authority to transact insurance business to AIA Philippines for being the surviving corporation following the merger, which is effective April 1 this year, according to a statement released by the IC on Thursday.
