THE container ship Ever Forward was finally freed from the problem it had created when it deviated from the channel and got stuck in the Chesapeake Bay. It took 35 days and the collective effort of various groups to set it free.

The Ever Forward had just loaded up with cargo in Baltimore and was headed for Norfolk, Virginia when it ran aground on March 13 and got stuck just north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The container ship reportedly missed a turn as it was leaving Baltimore, ending up in the shallow waters off Pasadena.
