BEIJING: China is actively incorporating its longstanding employment-first approach into pro-growth measures to help cushion its economy from growing global uncertainty and its impact.
The East Asian country's surveyed urban unemployment rate stood at 5.5 percent in the first quarter, up 0.1 percentage point year on year, National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data showed.
