THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is closely monitoring the security situation in Israel to ensure the safety of Filipinos there amid tensions between Israeli and Lebanese forces.
In a text message on Tuesday, DFA Assistant Secretary Gonar Musor said "the Department is monitoring developments in the concerned areas and coordinating with the Philippine Embassies in Tel Aviv and in Amman to be updated on the security situation in these areas, as well as the safety of Filipinos living in Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank."
