Japan Foundation now accepting arts grant proposals

The Japan Foundation Manila (JFM) is opening its call for proposals for the JFM Arts & Culture (JFMAC) Grant for 2022. Across the areas of film, Japanese studies, literature, music, performing arts, and visual arts, the JFMAC Grant is looking to fund imaginative cultural initiatives that reinforce the solidarity between Japan and the Philippines.

Last year's 20 grant recipients have successfully implemented programs that bridged the two cultures through different forms. These included diverse projects such as butoh dance workshops by Kapwa-Movement Project, A physical theater-film collaboration project entitled 'Wor(L)d of My Bodies' by Black Canvas, intellectual exchange forums such as Salikhain Kolektib's Resilience in Context forum, and virtual artist studio visits organized by Load Na Dito, to name a few.
