WHAT does it mean to be a Catholic school?
Many people might think that ownership is what makes an educational institution Catholic. In a loose sense, that is true. Schools, owned by the diocese or religious congregations and societies are Catholic. They propagate the faith and practice the traditions as they provide formal education to their students. There is also a formal basis for the title "Catholic," however.
