WHEN I first heard of it, I thought it was just a spoof, a delayed release of a satire originally intended for April Fool's Day. And then I saw the video clip of these two young contestants in ABS-CBN's "Pinoy Big Brother Teen edition," a reality game show, displaying their basic historical ignorance. There they were, unable to correctly identify the label for the three Filipino martyred priests executed by the Spanish colonial authorities on Feb. 17, 1872 for alleged subversion in connection with the Cavite mutiny.
