PSEi breaches 7,100 points

OPTIMISM on the Philippine economy enabled the local market to further its gains and breach 7,900 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) surged by 1.49 percent, or 104.68 points, to its intraday high of 7,142.42 while the wider All Shares gained 0.91 percent, or 34.21 points, to close at 3,777.13.
