University pushes agri R&D, innovation

TO elevate the agriculture sector, the government, private sector and industry stakeholders must establish firm collaboration in pushing innovative efforts to boost local farm and fishery production, to ensure food growers will get earnings that they deserve, experts from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) said.

This, they said, can be done primarily by giving more focus on research and development (R&D) and innovation initiatives that will capacitate farmers and promote agripreneurship.
