LIPA CITY, Batangas: Presidential frontrunner Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Wednesday welcomed as a "good development" the decision of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to junk the final disqualification case against him.

The plea, lodged by the group Pudno nga Ilokano, was junked for "lack of merit," according to the Comelec's document released to the media on Wednesday.
