CHERY Auto Philippines just unveiled the all-new Tiggo 8 Pro at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show. This mid-size electrified crossover SUV is the boldest, most powerful vehicle that the Chinese automaker is bringing to the Philippines.

The main headline here is its plug-in hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that produces 155 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The two electric motors produce 34 hp and 80 Nm at the front, while those at the rear produce 54 hp and 70 Nm. These are mated to a so-called 'unique hybrid transmission gearbox,' and when the batteries are topped up (which happens in as little as three hours), the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro can travel without consuming a drop of fuel for up to 95 km.
