LEGAZPI CITY: Even before joining politics, Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo had carved a deep-rooted attachment to Masbate beyond her husband Jesse Robredo's death, providing paralegal services 17 years ago to underprivileged communities in the country's reputed rodeo capital, Masbate First District Rep. Narciso Bravo said.
Robredo rendered free legal services in the three remote towns of Milagros, Mandaon and Balud in the island province of Masbate from 2005 to 2007 as a lawyer for a nongovernment organization.
