POPE Francis has offered his prayers for the victims of Tropical Storm "Agaton" (international name "Megi") that struck the southern part of the Philippines earlier this week.
The pope conveyed his solidarity "with all those suffering" from the devastation brought about by the storm in an April 14 telegram signed by Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
